Your funded hours, explained

All 3 and 4-year-olds in England are entitled to funded childcare hours. Here's how you can use them at Appledore.

15 Hours — Who

All 3 and 4-year-olds (and some eligible 2-year-olds).

15 Hours — How

Mornings 9am–12pm or afternoons 1pm–4pm, Monday to Friday. 38 weeks a year.

30 Hours — Who

3 and 4-year-olds whose parents are in work and meet the earnings threshold.

30 Hours — How

Can be used as 3 x 10-hour days, or school hours (9am–3pm), 38 weeks a year. For full-time parents, the 30 hours can be stretched throughout the year.
